
Occupational Therapy
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work with children to assess, diagnose, and treat challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and overall development. You will play a crucial part in helping children develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities in children.
– Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
– Provide therapy sessions that are engaging, evidence-based, and fun.
– Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support the child’s overall development.
– Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
– Educate and support families in understanding and managing their child’s developmental needs.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
– Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. APHRA).
– Experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting is preferred.
– Strong knowledge of paediatric developmental disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
– Compassionate and patient, with a genuine passion for helping children.
